Description:
The International FinanceCorporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group, promotes financial inclusionand private sector investment in developing countries. Its FinancialInstitutions Group (FIG) supports banks in Africa with digital transformationand access to specialized financing. In Ghana, access to finance is hindered byinformation gaps, collateral requirements, and weak credit infrastructure,especially among informal sector actors. IFC seeks a consultancy to study thefeasibility of integrating alternative data—like digital footprints and utilitypayments—into Ghana-s credit reporting systems. The consultant will develop aworkplan, evaluate legal frameworks, assess alternative data usage, and producean in-depth landscape report and presentation, with recommendations to enhancecreditworthiness assessments and financial inclusion. Deliverables include aninception report, landscape analysis, and completion summary, with findings duewithin six weeks.
