Quotation are invited for Esikhaleni Pole Replacement. SITE MEETING DATE AND TIME 28 July 2022 @10h00am SITE MEETING VENUE Alton Electrical Workshop No.65 Alumina Alley Scope of work for pole replacement in esikhaleni 1. Contractor required to replace 100 rotten 9m wooden Poles containing pole boxes feeding houses. 2. All poles to be planted at the depth of 1.5m. 3. All pole boxes and supply cables to be fasten on the poles including streetlights where applicable. 4. All IPC to be replaced and to be clamped on the same place as the old IPC. 5. All poles to be earthed and bonded together with main earth inside the pole mounted kiosk. 6. All suspension and straining clamps to be checked and replaced if not in good working order . 7. All stay wires to be tensioned and excessive slag to be pulled. 8. All connection to be checked before power can be restored. 9. All illegal connections to be reported to CoU official looking after the project. 10. Contractor required to fetch all new material ( poles) from Alton Stores. 11. NB Open holes must be properly barricaded and must not be left open for more than 48 hours. 12. Removed wooden poles to be dumped at Landfilled side and other material to be returned to Alton Electrical workshop 13. All new LV poles shall be numbered according to the old poles.
