Description:
Tenders are invited for Franklin Brick Substation and 11KV RMU Upgrade. Closing Date: 04 August 2022 SPECIFIC SCOPE OF WORK The work envisage shall include the following. • Decommissioning of 3 existing 11KV Oil Circuit Breakers • Decommissioning of 2 existing 11KV Ring Main Unit (RMU) • Decommissioned switches to be transported to Electrical Department Stores, 1 Eliot Street, Kokstad • Supply, Delivery and Installation of 4 x 630A 11KV Double Extensible RM6 Switches with 2 REMOTE SWITCHING CABLES (Chicken Switch) • Supply, Delivery and Installation of 1 x 630A 11KV Vacuum T3 RING MAIN UNIT OUTDOOR with 2 REMOTE SWITCHING CABLE (Chicken Switch) • Supply and install 2 x 30V BTU. • 10 x MV Joints to be carried out. • 10 x MV Terminations to be carried out. • 10 x LV Joints and Terminations to be carried out (LV cable varies from 16mm² to 95mm²) • Supply 95mm² x 3 Core PILC Steel Belted Table 19 x 30m • Supply 30 x 95mm² Ferrules • Supply 40 x 95mm² x 12mm Bimetal Lugs • Supply 10 x MV Splicing Kit • Supply 10 x MV Termination Kit • Supply 10 x LV Termination Kit (LV cable varies from 16mm² to 95mm²) • Supply 70m x 70mm² Copper Earth wire • Replace 4 existing Single Wooden Doors with 4 Hot Deep Galvanized Metal Roller Doors • Replace 2 existing Double Wooden Doors with 2 Hot Deep Galvanized Metal Roller Doors • Supply and deliver Ready Mix Concrete 28MPa (Area to be covered with Ready mix 15m x 15m =225m² • Construction of 4m x 4m plinth and Metal Fence 2m high around the T OFF RMU with lockable gate • Complete single phase house Distribution Board ( 60A Double Pole Isolator x 1, 63A Earth leakage x 1 , 20A x 4, 10A x 3) • Complete 230V street light control circuit with day night switch • Installation of 5 x 50W LED Security Flood Lights • Installation of 4 x 20W inside lights • Installation of New Three Phase LV Board incorporating the following switches 200A x 1, 160A x 1, 150A x 1, 125A x 1, 100A x 1, 50A x 1, Voltmeter x 3, Ammeter x 3 • 4 Danger warning signs around the fence perimeter (1m x 1m Signage size) • 4 Danger warning signs inside the building (1m x 1m Signage size) • 4 x 5Kg Fire Extinguishers • Repaint the ceiling and inside the brick substation. • Submission of the as built drawings on completion of the project
