  • Description:
  • Tenders are invited for Monitoring the Socio-economic Impacts of Just Energy Transition in South Africa The objective of this assignment is to conduct specialized and targeted surveys within communities and industries that will be most affected by the low-carbon energy transition in South Africa in order to aid DMRE with its monitoring and evaluation mandates relating to JET. Since there are data limitations in the existing national surveys and datasets for measuring socio-economic KPIs and track progress of JET on socio-economic outcomes;[1] the data collected under this ToR will aim to gain a more detailed understanding of the socio-economic indicators that are specifically impacted by JET within local communities and industries in the South African energy sector. Further; it is expected that households and businesses included in this assessment will be tracked over time to form a panel survey; in which case adequate contact information will be collected to allow for future follow up surveys.
