Description:
The World Bank is assisting the Government ofSouth Africa from different fronts, including technical assistance and lendingoperations, in improving the capacity of subnational governments in fundinginfrastructure and other services critical for economic development. Theassessment planned under these ToRs is part of the activities informing WorldBank teams on how to best support the Government of South Africa, including thecurrent lending operation under preparation for a Credit Guarantee Vehicle(CGV) for infrastructure at both the national and sub-national level.The World Bank is seeking the services of a consulting firm to assess enabling environment gaps in South Africa-s subnationalinfrastructure ecosystem to mobilize private sector financing, as well as optionsof project pipeline that could inform and complement ongoing World Bank supportto the Government of South Africa on the lending operation for a CreditGuarantee Vehicle (CGV). Focus would beon Western Cape Province.
