Tenders are invited for Vegetation Condition Baseline Survey - Kruger to Canyons Biosphere -Bushbuckridge and Mpumalanga Grasslands CSA is seeking an external service provider to do the following: 1. Data Collection for Vegetation Condition Assessment for the rangelands of 15 villages with 5 sites per village 2. Collation of data into Excel sheet for analysis by CSA Skills Required The individual or small team involved in this study must: a) Be familiar with the rural SMME development context in South Africa b) Have a strong understanding of VCA methodology MiM c) Provide own all travel and logistical requirements within their budget d) Be familiar with working in Rural rangelands Consultancy Deliverables Upon conclusion of the VCA, the following should be delivered: Baseline data for 75 sites including: Fieldwork phase i. 1 Herbaceous survey ii. 2 Woody survey iii. 3 Estimating biodiversity Report on current and comparison between baseline data and current data and report any positive or negative trends including the following information HERBACEOUS SURVEY I. Species composition and diversity II. Species perenniality III. Basal cover estimates IV. Assessment of veld condition and grazing potential V. Above-ground grass standing crop WOODY SURVEY I. Species composition and diversity II. Tree density and canopy cover III. Woody structure Duration of services: 2 Months Delivery Date: Field work to be done in January, February and Completion date for report is March 20th 2022
